Rajasthan the place of Rajas or Kings is also known as Royal State of India. The capital of the state Pink City Jaipur is the perfect weekend destination from delhi, Chandigarh, Punjab, Haryana, Gujarat, Rajasthan and other parts of the country.

You can plan your weekend trip to Jaipur as it is only 260 km from the national capital Delhi and about 240 km from the Taj City Agra. If you are planning a long trip then you can opt for the golden triangle of Delhi, Agra and Jaipur. 

Now a days the new Jaipur is fast becoming a Metropolitan city yet it is flavored strongly with an age-old charm that will never fails to surprise you.

Jaipur is also connected by Rail from Delhi, Chandigarh, Jammu and other parts of the country. 

Delhi Jaipur Shatabdi Express is one of the best trains between New Delhi and Jaipur. The early morning train takes less than 5 hours to reach jaipur. Double Decker Train is also available from Sarai Rohalla railway station Delhi to Jaipur in the evening. There are many other trains and you can plan as per your convenience.

City Palace jaipur
One of the Royal palaces in Jaipur the City palace is situated in the heart of the walled city. The very first glimpse of the City Palace Complex will give you an idea about the vision and creativity of the founder of Jaipur Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh.
The palace is a blend of Mughal and Rajput architecture and the ex-royal family still lives in a part of the palace.

Moti Dungri and Ganesh Temple Jaipur
There is a small hill named Moti Dungri In the middle of Jaipur. Moti Dungri means pearl hill. It got its name because it looks like a drop of pearl. There is Lord Ganesh Temple located in the Hill along with the exotic palace.

Hawa Mahal Jaipur
Meaning Palace of Winds was built by the poet king Sawai Pratap Singh. Hawa Mahal has become the most well-known landmarks of the Pink City Jaipur and is also its icon. 

You can get the best view of Hawa mahal from the road outside though it is located in the City Palace complex. There are hundreds of Jharokhas in the Mahal. It was at first built for the ladies of the majestic household to watch everyday life and processions in the city from their veiled comfort.

Jaigarh fort

Nahargarh Fort Jaipur
 
Located on the hill top Nahargarh forms an extraordinary northern backdrop of Jaipur. The Nahargarh fort is the favorite destination for the tourists and Bollywood as it overlooks the city and forms a dazzling view of the city lights. Nahargarh Fort was built by Raja Jai Singh in 1734 and extended in 1868.

Amber Palace (Amer Fort Jaipur)
Amer Fort in Jaipur is located around 11 kilometres from Jaipur. Also known as Amber Palace it was the ancient citadel of the ruling Kachwahas of Amber, before the capital was shifted to the plains, the present day Jaipur. 
The Amer Fort in Jaipur was built by Raja Man Singh I in 1592 and completed by Mirja Raja Jai Singh the fort was made in red sand stone and white marble.
