Jaipur is the Capital city of the royal state of Rajasthan. Jaipur ts also known as Pink City of India because all the old and heritage buildings are still painted in Pink in Jaipur. Jaipur is an historical city and has many historical monuments and other places to visit. Jaipur is famous for Hawa Mahal, City Palace, Jantar Mantar, Amer fort etc. The various site seeing and tourist attractions are covered in another article in this blog.
Jaipur is around 270 Kms from the Delhi and is well connected by Air from Delhi, Mumbai, Jodhpur, udaipur and other cities including Dubai.
Delhi to Jaipur by road is just a 4 - 5 hours drive and is connected by NH 8 which is now a 8 lane Highway. Buses from Delhi's ISBT Kale Khan are available every half an hour from Delhi to Jaipur. Buses are also available from Shimla to Jaipur, Chandigarh to Jaipur and Ahmadabad to Jaipur.
Jaipur Railway Station is connected by number of trains from all parts of the country. Trains to Jaipur are avalable from Kolkata, Bihar, Mumbai, Delhi, Jammu and other cities of India.
Rajdhani Express, Shatabadi Express and many other Super Fast trains connect Jaipur from Delhi, Mumbai and other cities. The railways will also run AC Double Deccar trains from Delhi to Jaipur.
Distance of Jaipur from Ajmer is 120 Kms, Distance of Jaipur from Pushkar is 130 Kms.
