Udaipur is the one of the best places of tourist interest in India. It is small but beautiful city of Rajasthan. There are various name of this city some names are ‘The Venice of the Earth’, ‘The City of Lakes ‘Kashmir of Rajasthan. Maharaja Udai Singh II was the founder of Udaipur in 1559. There are many interesting places for tourist including beautiful Gardens, Lakes and palaces. Pichola Lake is the astonishing example of architect and also shows the culture of Rajasthan.

PLACES TO VISIT IN UDAIPUR

CITY PALACE- City Palace was built by Maharaja Udai Singh II in 1559. It is situated on the boundary of Lake Pichola. City Palace is a wonderful collection of Fountains, Courtyard, Corridors and Hanging gardens. In main gate we found first courtyard. It is very delightful to the Eyes. Its  timings are 9:30 a.m. To 5:30 p.m.

SAHELION-KI-BARI- It is very beautiful and prominent garden for the tourist in Udaipur. Tourist comes to visit here mainly. Rana Sangram Singh built this garden. Sahelion-Ki-Bari means Garden of the maidens. Here we found charming flowers, fountain shaped elephants, Lotus pool. Its timings are 10:00 a.m. To 4:00 p.m.

FATEH SAGAR LAKE- Fateh Sagar Lake is a second man-made Lake named after Maharana Fateh Singh. It is an awesome lake in Udaipur. Sight seen will be incomplete without tour to the artificial lake Fateh Sagar. It’s a dignity of the city of lakes of Udaipur .Opening and Closing timings are 9:00a.m. To 6:00p.m.



MOTI MAGRI- Moti Magri having a fascinating view of the Fateh Sagar Lake in the city of Udaipur, Rajasthan. Its reveal the remembrance of Rajput emperor Maharana Pratap. There are sculptures of Maharana Pratap with his loving horse ‘Chetak’. Fateh Sagar is close to Moti Mangri. 

LAKE PICHOLA- Lake Pichola is one of the attractive lakes. It is also a non-natural lake with clean and fresh water. People also use water for irrigation. It was formed in the year of 1362 AD by Banjara during the sovereignty of Maharana Lakha. It is accessible for the visitors. Later it was enlarged by Maharana Udai Singh.

REACHING UDAIPUR BY AIR- There is a Maharana Pratap Airport which is nearest airport in Udaipur. It is 20 k.m away from the city.
